About the data

Figures are sourced from UN Comtrade (official reporter-submitted customs data) and WCO Harmonized System reference data. Values are stored in USD thousands and displayed as millions, billions, and trillions. Trade balance is exports minus imports for the reporting country. Because reporting countries, partners, and revisions differ over time, small discrepancies are expected — we prefer the importer's reported figures where possible. Most recent year data is typically revised in subsequent quarters.
